- NewJean's collaboration with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) led to issues when some users s*xualized their characters.

- KRAFTON and ADOR, NewJean's agency, responded by warning against inappropriate content and pledged to take action on unsuitable in-game items. They emphasized creating a safer gaming environment and promised to address offensive content seriously

- Both parties admitted a lack of foresight regarding potential misuse of game content and reiterated their commitment to artist protection during collaborations.

KRAFTON and ADOR made the following statement:

Dear PUBG and NewJeans fans,

First of all, thank you for your enthusiastic support and interest in the collaboration between PUBG and NewJeans. We are very pleased that this collaboration provides a valuable opportunity for the two brands to become closer to each other's fans.

However, there have been recent cases where some users create and share inappropriate posts using NewJeans characters. This is inconsistent with the brand image and values of both parties and is offensive to all fans.

Regarding this, KRAFTON and ADOR make the following statement:

In-game actions related to items worn by New Jeans characters: We plan to take appropriate action in the near future regarding items worn by New Jeans characters that do not fit the purpose of collaboration. Through this, we will create a healthier environment within the game and ensure that all users can enjoy the game safely. We will provide detailed information on the measures taken soon.

Compliance with Community Guidelines: All users must adhere to PUBG's Community Guidelines. These guidelines prohibit the posting of unhealthy content, and violation of these guidelines may result in sanctions on use of the game.

Response Measures: KRAFTON and ADOR take these situations seriously and will actively respond to inappropriate content. Problematic posts will be deleted, and the user may be restricted from community activities.

We ask for your help: We need your help to maintain a healthy and positive community culture. If you find inappropriate content, please report it immediately.

The purpose of the collaboration between the two companies was to combine each other's strengths to introduce new content and provide unique fun to fans. In addition, since the costumes were produced based on the game's review rating (15 years old), we started this collaboration based on a prior agreement that they would not exceed the level of idol stage costumes.

However, there was an unexpected shortcoming in the possibility that some users could undermine the purpose of this collaboration by inappropriately using existing in-game content.

ADOR, whose top priorities are protecting artists and respect for the fandom, and KRAFTON, whose mission is to provide innovative and enjoyable experiences to users through game content, both strive to protect artists and create a healthy and positive community culture. We reached a consensus on the common goal of making . We would like to emphasize once again that we have always considered the protection of artists as our top priority when collaborating.

We value the community we build with our fans. We sincerely apologize for this situation occurring, and we will do our best to avoid disappointing our fans through more thorough preparation and review in the future.
