[Opinion] "I think I know why misogyny arises."

cr: Bigstock

The OP reflects on their lack of interaction with boys until college: the place where they realize the roots of misogyny.
Despite the college not being inherently bad, they observe guys dividing girls based on looks, criticizing their appearance, and objectifying women. Whereas in elementary school, interactions with boys and girls was just light banter.
They question if this behaviour -and just being outright vulgar- is typical of all men. OP also expresses disgust towards the harassment towards a particular girl despite her attempts at avoiding them all together.

- [+0,-2] Sure, there are good Korean men out there, but the issue is that we cannot differentiate between them.

- [+103,-9] The ones who harbor misogyny are genuine losers without a single woman in their lives. Strictly speaking, misogyny begins right within the household. Particularly in the Gyeongsang Province region, the deeply rooted gender imbalance makes it difficult to even notice, even while being consciously aware of it.

- [+0,-0] There was someone on social media who used to post misogynistic content, but once he got a girlfriend, he deleted it all and started sharing only positive things. 😂

- [+10,-13] After watching the female version of the 'Nth Room' in that video, I started resenting women... How have they been doing such things for 10 years? Why aren't the 840,000 female sexual offenders being held accountable?

- [+2,-2] "Ever since middle and high school, I never really had any interactions with guys." <ㅡ This is the point 😂😂😂😂😂.

- [+8,-9] Feminism is mental illness.

- [+0,-3] It's often said that normal young men develop misandry after completing their service in the military.

- [+4,-3] Honestly, those who hate on women and those who hate on men are the same LOL.

- [+8,-19] Blaming men as usual? Is it their fault if you're not attractive? Does that even make sense?

- [+9,-2] From what I've seen in recent debates, it's no wonder there's an inevitable dislike towards men 😂. Just reading the comments posted by the Hannam[Korean men] here is incredibly hateful.
